BOLD Co-Founder Kate Amrine was selected to lead a Trumpet Youth Day Warmup Class and a Designing Your Career in Music Masterclass for the International Trumpet Guild Conference this June 2020. Kate recently was awarded a grant from the Puffin Foundation to commission three new solo trumpet works inspired by locations in NYC that have been and will be affected by climate change.

Brass Out Loud founders presented a seminar titled, "Equality, Creativity, & Entrepreneurship: Building a Diverse Brass Community" at Arkansas State University this January as part of their Guest Speaker Series. We had a great time spreading our message and engaging with the amazing students at Arkansas State!

Brass Out Loud was awarded a Social Innovation Grant provided by Colburn's Center for Innovation and Community Impact. These awards are an extension of the institution’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and awards seek to directly support members of the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community.
